Writer's Guides (w/forms) provide students with illustrated instructions of each step of the Research Process. They are intended for supporting student’s skills with the strategies, for strengthening their skills in following technical manuals, and for building self-reliance.

Steps in the proccesss are:

• Choose a topic.
• Find sources or recall your knowledge.
• Take notes.
• Think about your notes.
• Sort, outline, and number your notes.
• Plan an introductory paragraph and a concluding paragraph. (Level 3)
• Plan a topic sentence for each topic (Levels 2 and 3)
• Write your paper.
• Proofread and edit your writing.
• Finalize your paper.
