For many years Thea Holtan has been discovering and sharing her simple writing strategies with students and teachers to help them with research papers and expository essays. She designed these strategies from her background in High School English classrooms and K-12 media centers. She has taught them to all ages and has helped many teachers through seminars, workshops, and graduate courses since 1982.

Thea Holtan’s strategies for thinking, organizing and writing with information may be familiar to you as a student or a teacher. Perhaps you recall her publications through the years. In them you would have found ongoing improvements for teachers and students.

You may even have been among her student or teacher users. Perhaps you heard about her. The grapevine has connected her with people throughout Minnesota, in most states, and in places as far away as Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Iran, and Hungary.
